One big change in the world over the last 50 years is that our companies have become extremely multinational. They want to be dominant worldwide not just in one country. Their loyalties no longer to any one nation.
Corporations today leverage talent and advantages that each country has. They sell to people in every country.
Some of these entities are worth more than $1 trillion. About 200 of the 220 countries on the Earth have a lower wealth than each of these trillion dollar multinational corporations. The individuals who control them are worth more than most countries in the world.
This has changed things.
This concentration of wealth is astonishing and gives these elites enormous power worldwide. Like dictators and wealthy of the past they want to control the entities which could control their wealth. Corrupting a single country is not good enough anymore. They want to corrupt the entire world.
You may think I am making this up. I am telling you what we see is natural behavior. The scope of corruption has now risen to a multi-national level and these people want to rule the world.
I don’t know if they meet to discuss strategies to globalism and domination but their common interest is in the diminution of the power of the state and one particular state, America which today has great influence and the ability to disrupt them.
Who are these people?
- Corporate titans
- Drug lords and mafia kings
- Corrupt leaders
- Idealists who think that there should be open borders and chaos not government
Their goals are similar.
- Minimize the power of the state to impose rules on international people
- Reduce tax rates or make those rates easily avoidable
- Facilitate cheap and slave labor
- Corrupt governments so they can do what they want
- Make common all the laws and rules across countries so they can operate without limits across the world.
- Distract the common man with riots, keep them believing they are relevant but never give them power
- Dictatorship or corrupt democracies (kleptocracies) are their preferred forms of government where they can buy whoever they want
- Remove the power of the individuals rights and systems which empower the people to make decisions and regain control of their countries.
The goal is to maintain their power and wealth. The same goal for eternity of all dictators, rich people, powerful people.
This is the mercantile class of the past. It has morphed into globalism.
Let’s be frank. These people run most of the world already. At least 150 governments out of the 200 in the world fit the description.
If you don’t like a result in Haiti, it is cheap to buy a judge and get the decision you want.
Keeping wages down is easy with unlimited immigration and open borders and the ability to move and transfer wealth the rich can make governments do their bidding.
They put forward a theory called globalism. They justify it by claiming it will benefit everyone. They argue for open borders and for strife because it creates dependent workers who are desperate.
The goal of the new class of power hungry elites is to establish corrupt society worldwide so they never have to give up their wealth and power and can leverage resources and people without limit.
Traditional dictatorship is passé. They have decided they can be virtual dictators and have virtual economic slaves and get anything they want if they can make all nations porous and corrupt.
The vast majority of countries are already in their camp. Only a few holdouts remain principally America.

Who are these globalist kingpins?
Mexico is run by a bunch of powerful drug lords. Much of south America similarly is run by oligarchs and drug lords.
Russia and China are run by kleptocrats as well as many other dictatorships in the world.
It’s not just dictators or drug lords but people with billions in the US and Europe who want a world that they can control and run around in without limits.
The main impediment to their plans is the United States. No other nation has enough power or political persuasion to impose constraints and break them up or get other countries to crack down on their corrupt practices.
The powerful have always sought this control and have achieved it in many places within a country but not multiple countries until now.
George Soros a multi-billionaire runs a whole panoply of corporations that work in different countries to destabilize those governments and impose chaos. Soros made his money destabilizing governments and making billions from the currency fluctuations.
His companies are in every country you can think of. In Ukraine the Obama administration directed funds to Soros backed private companies from the public treasury. There are other places the Obama admin provided funding to Soros entities.
Hillary was close to Soros and would get email from him disclosed in Wikileaks that showed our state department was executing orders of Soros.
Make no mistake. The democrat party is where the globalists have landed and made their home. I believe there are republicans who wished they had taken the Republican Party as their home. These people are called never-Trumpers. They wish to pander to globalists badly.
When you see so much organization for riots and training for rioters and you see coordinated activity with global propaganda networks like CNN to laud their activities you should be skeptical this is entirely organic. The media uses itself to incite violence and emotional reaction. They constantly preach fear of chaos and death to get you to give up your rights and to program you.
Please don’t take anything you hear on these networks at face value. There is a reason they always criticize Trump. There is a reason for their insane desire to get rid of him and it isn’t because he has mismanaged covid or was thinking of getting Ukraine to find dirt on Biden. They are experts in mismanagement and finding dirt on their opposition. They will beg joke radio stations for pictures of naked POTUS shots. They don’t care about anything they say they care about. If they did why did the Floyd incident happen in democrat state and democrat cities? Why would they have done nothing when they had power? Why did they actively work with China to put millions of Americans out of work?
America used to count on its corporate elite to be loyal to America. However, now the leaders of these companies who are multi-national don’t see Americans being successful as their primary goal. They have multiple countries they have to operate in and they can move their assets around and wealth around to wherever it is safest and make them the richest.
Many companies in the US have become less interested in patriotism to America. They have divided loyalties at best and really are loyal to themselves not any country or group of countries.
What is happening today is that these people now see the whole world as within their reach. Their companies are global. Their power is global. They seek to make it so they can travel anywhere and be in control so they don’t have to worry about individual states arresting them or making their lives difficult.
They seek what the powerful have always sought but on a global scale.
In the day of Adam Smith he called this mercantilism. I sometimes called this feudalistic rule.
America is fundamentally different
America was founded on the idea that you and I control the government. Not elites. You and I decide what ideas we like and how things will be done even if the elite think it is wrong.
Co2 policy can be a way for them to control you not save the world. We know they aren’t serious about this because if they were they would not constantly say the only solution is the complete restructuring of our society to a new central government that runs everything and controls every aspect of your life. We know that the founders of the global climate scare were socialists and some came from the club of Rome another academic scare tactic to get people to abdicate their rights and implement communism or some variant of it. We also see the corruption of science, something serious people would not allow.
They want to control everything you do. They want to put limits on your ability to have mobility, to read whatever you want. They don’t want you to control your life or vote on their life. They want you to accept they know best and to rest that pretty little head of yours and stop thinking just repeat the words; “Black Lives Matter.” It doesn’t mean that black lives matter. It just signifies you have given up all rational thought and are willing to do anything they say for fear of being destroyed.
The new mass media and social media are perfect tools for globalists to shape messages and decide what is good speak and what is problematic speech. Companies such as CNN have zero loyalty to the US. They are tools of the global elite.
They don’t want countries staging any independence and judging them and putting their fortunes or freedom on the line. They want unlimited power to make unlimited wealth and hold it forever without interference from any government.
They need minions, slaves or pawns they can manipulate to manufacture things cheaply and to comply to their requirements. What they don’t need is middle class people who have the freedom to make choices and think for themselves without fear of immediate punishment. So, let’s be clear: they want a 2 class society with the poor desperate and slaves and the rich. No middle class. You can’t control the middle class.
To me this is obvious why they are arguing shutdown. They want to cripple people especially independent people who run their own lives. So covid and the riots have been victories for them I admit. I don’t think they planned them although I don’t think it is beyond the realm of possibility of some elements but it doesn’t need to be planned. What we see is how they have fanned the flames and pushed pushed pushed fear and hate trying to direct us away from solutions and into hate and division where they are never mentioned even as they lord victorious over the pathetic multitude.
They have no intention of restricting the number of mansions they own or their ability to travel in private jet or any limitation on their lives. They expect to buy off anybody that tries to impose any limits on them or diminish their power over the masses. Don’t think for a second their justice speak is sincere.
Just as with other governments politicians have learned that speaking to the people’s pain just enough to get elected is all they need. Once in power they can employ the security and justice services and propaganda services as well as funnel in millions of willing servants to get their way henceforth.
America is fundamentally different as I outlined in the previous article on the foundational principal of America.
America rejected the idea that the powerful set the laws for the people and operate without laws. Our founders believed that the common man could run their own destiny and this necessarily means that the common man sets the rules not the powerful.
The idea of our founders was that the government works for the average person not the rich people and that if needed the rich people conform to our laws not to them.
As I describe in the previous article this is the fundamental difference in concept from what American democracy means and how the rest of the world except for a few other countries operates.
When you hear the propaganda put out over CNN or MSNBC or other mass media consider they are actually the pawns of powerful people who are against Donald Trump and against the US.
Mercantilism
Mercantilism must be distinguished from capitalism. Adam Smith hated mercantilism. Our founders were in favor of capitalism but against mercantilism. Mercantilism is the power of the economically wealthy to corrupt a society and its laws to further empower them, rig the system to their advantage and lock out other competitors.
Our founders wanted a system we the people controlled. We decide if the laws benefit us. We want the laws applied against all people but especially that we can do what we want to regulate and make the powerful work for us not the other way around.
This is still a radical idea if you think about it. Most of the world operates either directly controlled by the powerful or virtually through proxy. The US wants a world run by the people of the individual countries for their benefit.
Mercantilism looks like capitalism because it has similar institutions and nomenclature but capitalism is the idea of individuals to control their economic life.
Capitalism is the purest way to capture the competitive nature of man to obtain wealth and turn it from corruption and violence into productive purposes.
Democracy is the purest way to capture the competitive nature of man to obtain power and turn it from corruption and violence into productive purposes.
These are not dictionary definitions but the definitions I use to make my point.
What America achieved largely is to keep people away from using their financial power to gain political power. It allows the political system to control the economic system.
This is critical. Wherever we see the government and corporations intermingle there is lack of oversight. In the end this stultified the economy. When the oligarchs have power they block innovation or disrupters so they remain the dominant.
Democracy allows competition in the political sphere similar to the economic sphere. People debate and decide what is in their interest. When leaders don’t do good for the voters they can be replaced.
That’s fundamentally what happened in 2016. The people said we were getting screwed. The middle class wealth and jobs were down dramatically. Anxiety was up. So they decided to pick someone who spoke to them.
This is not evil. This is proof our democracy is still working. The establishment is pissed. They have their media putting out messages to crush Trump because they want someone who is more fungible to their interests and doesn’t take their power away.
Trump doesn’t do Soros bidding. In fact, in 2018 Soros said everything was going wrong. Everything was going the wrong way. The globalists were losing.
This year is the biggest election in US history since 1860. We are at a crossroad. Do we succumb to the mercantilist elements who seek to make America subservient to multi-national corporate interests and drug lords and dictators or do we run our own country for the interest of Americans.
If the globalists win I fear they will corrupt our system to make it impossible for we the people to make the choice again. They may be able to program and propagandize people enough to get people to vote the way they want.
They got the riots they wanted. It was a perfect storm for Soros and globalists. The US reputation damaged, physical infrastructure damaged. The aspirations of blacks crushed. Police demotivated and more motivated to be corrupted.
These definitions I have used above come from an American perspective. Many people in other countries believe capitalism is evil even if socialism has failed miserably.
The most important point I am making is that America has separated the pursuit of political power from economic power.
We have done a similar thing with religion
We have also done the same thing with religion. We have turned religion into a constructive activity that is forced to be benign because it cannot control political power.
We separated church and state so that religions compete for people. Since they can’t corruptly force people by holding political or economic power over them. This forced religion into a productive role in society.
Most of the history of the world is essentially what is called feudalism but essentially was mercantilism.
Drug lords in Mexico have corruptly captured both political and economic power in a region. This allows them to circumvent democracy and the people. Mexico is a narco state dominated by 6 regional drug lords. Some of South America have moved away from democracy into this national devolution.
Frankly, most societies being poor find it hard to avoid mixing power and money. The powerful are able to plant agents who are corrupt into security forces, the courts and get anything they want.
The globalist / mercantilist idea is I deserve the power, control and wealth because I have made the money I am smart and should control politics.
The powerful do not trust individual idiots who might want to judge them or hold me to the same laws that the rest have to obey. Their power and wealth makes them believe they deserve to control us. You can call it socialism or any economic system. It makes no difference. The real difference is do the people control the government or not.
Further, the powerful need slaves or today more correctly the masses of lower income impoverished who are desperate for a job, any job. They want to destroy the aspirations of people and to have people who don’t seek or believe they have a right to control their future.
The Chinese have taken Hong Kong’s capitalism and morphed it into a mercantilism that they are trying to conquer the world with.
Rich people in the world no longer want to run countries directly. They want pliant weak governments subject to the power of economically rich multi-national corporations that actually set the rules. The people who run them effectively become our new kings and queens.
They shuffle labor around like they were slaves to keep wages low and to keep political leaders or nation states from exerting control over their destiny.
This is globalism. It is a new class of rulers who know no limitations of borders and cannot be brought down by any government. They want to run the world.
This is not what America stands for. Our ideas of each person deciding their own fate is contradictory to the idea that the new rulers are billionaires who have a privileged position to put people into power they choose, set the laws they want and subvert what the people decide.
Frankly, people like Joe Biden who will do what they want.
Donald Trump
I don’t know if Donald Trump has a perspective on this. He is a unique individual in that he has reached the pinnacle of success and richness worth many billions but he had a strong affiliation with America and surprisingly the middle class.
What President Trump saw was that the US was being shortchanged as he called it. He observed the effect of these mercantilists which was to weaken the US.
I don’t know if he sees the big picture of globalism and how it seeks to destroy America but he has taken our eye off Russia as the primary enemy and to China.
Both Russia and China are mercantilist but China grew to be much much bigger. Russia’s economy is 2% of the world economy and is less than California. They are a relatively closed society that has basically one product:oil.
The principal mistake Russia made when it dropped communism was that it adopted the political system before the economic changes and like many countries didn’t adopt the political lessons from America very well.
China had an example with Hong Kong of a working mercantilist type government. It copied the economics of Hong Kong and the US and other countries were willing to engage with China because it seemed to have less political ambitions and was willing to abuse its people.
I cannot say why Russia didn’t figure out how to adopt the better economic system sooner but maybe they were distracted with political games because they implemented democracy first and imperfectly.
However, for purposes of comparing countries that are run by powerful and not by the people both easily fall into the globalist camp.
Donald Trump saw America getting raw deals and started imposing rules to benefit Americans not the multi-nationals. He actually got wages to go up and has been somewhat successful in moving America up in the world economically and militarily.
Trump doesn’t seek to defeat any countries. He simply wants us to carry the proverbial big stick so nobody does anything stupid to us.
He has taken common sense goals like removing existential threats like n Korea and Iran which might develop nuclear weapons or deploy them and use them. He hasn’t accomplished that yet but that is his only goal with them.
People misunderstood Trump or if they don’t misunderstand they purposely tried to paint him as some kind of aggressive person who would start wars. He isn’t interested in that. He wants the US to have the military power to win any war and he wants to use the power of the US to force events to work in the favor of the US.
This doesn’t mean he wants to hurt other countries so much as he is libertarian in philosophy. He describes what previous administrations did giving China unlimited rights to abuse us as bad not the Chinese for taking advantage of that. He’s said nobody told you this wasn’t acceptable. Now I am.
What Trump may not understand is that there are forces all over the world that want the US to fail and to lose control over its future because they want to control the world. A lot more of these forces than Muslim terrorist groups or communist enemies.
Trump’s biggest obstacle to success is the globalists.
They have staged a huge attack in the form of the riots. They are attacking Trump’s central message that the US is unique and that we can control our own destiny by the will of individuals who make up the citizens of America.
Globalists seek to normalize America, turn it into just another country, corrupt and evil and then they can force us into accepting them running things. By flooding the country with illegal immigrants they can eventually force the average American to have no voice.
The riots show that they won a battle. Trump won many battles over the last 3 years but I admit they have come together for a last hurrah to try and see if they can crush him and convince people to vote in their puppets.
There is no doubt a lot of Americans have lost faith in the American ideals or even know what American ideals are or know what the fight is about. A lot of people don’t see the big picture yet. They don’t get the perfidious behavior of many powerful people.
This is the conflict in dialectics that is undergirding our national debate and world debate. Shall we retain our radical idea that individual people can decide for themselves the laws or will our laws be decided by privileged overseers who contribute billions to campaigns and select the candidates themselves and then send them emails with instructions like Hillary got with Soros.
In other countries the decision is not so pretty. In many countries like Mexico the mafia mercantilist drug lords decide who runs and sets the laws. They murdered 120 politicians in 2018 elections. In other countries a group of oligarchs corrupt the system and control it.
This is the central issue of our century as it was in the 18th century. Will liberty prevail or will the powerful recreate the mercantile globalist world that we sometimes see in science fiction film de noire. A world where the average people are powerless.
Power and wealth corrupt completely usually
I have written numerous articles documenting the problem with trying to blame people in history. The most popular one is titled; Are white people moral monsters. I highly encourage reading it.
It is the most natural thing in the world that people who rise to power resist relinquishing it.
It is contradictory that in one sense we want people to succeed and to have that freedom to succeed. What we don’t want is for them to be able to set the rules.
When the people decide that this isn’t working for us then they still have to have the ability to select the leaders and the laws that govern the rich and powerful. If those people break laws then they have to be punished. If we want to break up an industry or change things so it benefits the American people then we need to be able to do that until it works for the American people.
When the system was giving away all the jobs to the Chinese and others the people decided it had to stop. The ruling class has gone ballistic that they are having to change. That they are being told where to build their factories and who to employ not them.
The Chinese are facing a wall. It was inevitable in a way for them but their “miracle” has collapsed. Their corrupted proxies in the US lost. The change has been crushing. Up until Donald Trump the democrats were willing participants in the rape of the US. Biden’s son got a billion in investment from the Chinese.
If anyone thinks the Chinese give $1.5 billion to drug addicts normally you know nothing of the Chinese. Biden said earlier this year that China was great. That’s how clueless and out of touch he is that he had no idea his constituency was being raped by the Chinese.
When negotiating the Chinese deal in 2009 Hillary gave everything the Chinese wanted. She threw out the buy American clause. Why insist the Chinese buy American? She didn’t complain about IP theft which was in the hundreds of billions already.
Whether these people are clueless morons who have no idea what they are negotiating or why or they are coconspirators with the globalists makes no difference. Hillary’s campaign was paid billions by rich people who became angry when she lost.
The democrats are split between globalists and socialists. The socialists lost. It is the globalists who now control the party. It was the globalists in 2016 too. They paid billions for the DNC.
The globalists
Dictatorship or being King is hard to reverse without dying. Once you have power it is really hard to give it up even if you were a good person when you went into it.
People who are wealthy never hear someone tell them they are wrong. If they do they are easily replaced with someone who will tell them they are brilliant.
Many wealthy people are brilliant but being brilliant in one area doesn’t mean you have empathy or understanding of average people or the interests of the average person.
Making wealth and encouraging the creation of wealth is a good thing. What is the problem is when that then allows them to control things so others cannot disrupt them.
An important idea that I once learned from an economist is that oligopolies tend to stultify societies and it is one of the most critical things that America does that enables our continued prosperity and freedom is that we break up the oligopolies of power whether of wealth or otherwise.
Our system where the average person decides is critical to our ability to do this and to keep that power.
We have broken up oil conglomerates, brought down rich people and political corruption. We can break up unions or banks. Our system enables one companies success to be undermined eventually by disrupters who have new ideas.
These are critical elements to prevent the accumulation of power and the eventual corruption that follows and allows the combination of economic and political power to subvert the will of the people.
Our system is like an antibody against the virus of mercantilism. The key to that system is the constitution which empowered the individual with power over the elites and enshrined that power with numerous protections, competing interests, limitations on rights of the government and our court system.
The globalists must destroy these elements of our constitution. They must trivialize the constitution and once everybody regards it just as a piece of paper written by racist evil fools like any other and having no special value then they can rewrite or re-interpret our constitution at will with the smallest provocation so they remain in power.
The democrats have been trying to do this very badly. They have talked of loading the Supreme Court up with new members so they can force the outcomes they desire. Believe me their justices will do what they are told unlike conservative justices. These are people who understand how to control and desire it badly.
It is not unconstitutional to do that. They also tried to get the states to change their laws so that our federal republic idea of 50 states each having their own say in the government would be circumvented. They passed laws which last week were called unconstitutional which would have states whose public had voted for a candidate to be forced to have all their electors vote for whoever won the populate vote of the country.
It isn’t so much that this rule change is beyond consideration but the Supreme Court fortunately stood against it. We still have a republic and a system where the people of the states have power to control their destiny even if they aren’t a large state.
Once they have us voting in people who hate the country it is just a matter of time before America is irrelevant to them and they control us completely. They have their media to program people to believe whatever they want.
So they seek to trivialize America, reduce it to a slave country that is immoral and nothing special. That way they can get us to give up our rights because it was all a bunch of poppycock invented by some slaver racists 250 years ago.
We are not alone. There are people and allies who get it.
People all over the world are fighting against globalism. They just are not successful most of the time because they don’t have the US constitution or similar system of protections. The people in power are greedy and will do anything to retain power. It is the biggest challenge of humanity. It has only been won a few times in history but we must secure our nation and we must spread the idea of the power of the common person to decide their future and the laws everyone must obey.
Most countries you are born into your lot in life and the powerful keep control of who gets into the club. The US is relatively unique in that nobody controls who gets into the club and if you break the rules you can be removed from the club.
The powerful and wealthy in most cases don’t want you to have hope or they will say they believe in it but always come up with reasons why they haven’t delivered it.
The essentials of the US constitution and the system that our founders created seems ordinary and obvious but it isn’t. It is actually an incredible document with brilliance and foresight in every word. Even if the people who created it were flawed (as we all are by the way) it is by far the most important document created by man. It has led to incredible levels of prosperity and improvement of the world but liberty is under new assault.
Countries all over the world are fighting the globalist push for power. Britain’s leaving the EU was clearly a rejection of globalism and the right of Britain to decide its own future. Many Eastern European countries having just shed the yoke of soviet tyranny are not cool with the idea of sacrificing their ability to control their destiny.
You see the same liberties that allow individuals to decide their life and how they want their country to run is the same desire for countries to not be dominated by a global amorphous set of power players who can manipulate their countries and decide their future.
So, there are places here and there that are free, that cherish their freedom and don’t want to give up power. Most of them are not powerful like the US but we can hope that somehow our example and theirs will inspire others.
Capitalism channels the natural competitive greedy interests of people into productive economic purposes. Democracy channels the natural power hungry interests of people into productive competitive purpose.
The constitution enshrines that separation of powers with a powerful set of ideas that has worked to keep democracy alive in America for nearly 250 years. We should all be amazed and grateful to these creators. They are not flawless. They are not gods. They didn’t create a bible but as far as the things man has created it is damn impressive.
The beauty our founders created was that it acknowledges the desires of people to be rich and powerful and channels that into legal mechanisms that are competitive but are ultimately controlled by the people.
The constitution limited the power of a central government in 3 competing branches and to 50 states each with their own powers and then to people who had inalienable rights. They removed any religion from having political power.
The constitution is more about limiting the power of government not a document with lots of goodies for the government to do but more limits on what the government can’t do. They also put in place competing interests with limited powers over each other so that no one part of government could dominate.
That is why we have had democracy for 250 years and 44 peaceful transitions of power.
The founders understood the ways people had defeated democracy or representative systems before. They knew how some local official working with a malevolent interest could jail a representative and force votes to go one way or another. So, they gave legislators and the president immunity.
They thought about this system carefully and we should be very careful to disparage it after 250 years of functioning as it has creating the most powerful, least racist, most giving and fair country in human history.
I have pointed out how no luck of nature, benevolent leaders, god or our whiteness could possibly explain why America is in the position it is after 250 years and more important how it has lived over those 250 years not in comparison to some current ideal ideas of morality but in comparison to all its competitors in the world, the other nation states and their accomplishments and history.
We are not perfect but neither is anyone else. Trying to feel bad about our history is like trying to criticize people for a flood. You can’t change the past.
We are the same people as in the past with the same DNA as people in the past. On the whole we aren’t better than people in the past, we just have more information to do things differently.
Morals change. Someday someone will see that focusing only on blacks killed by malevolent cops is immoral or that encouraging illegal immigration is immoral. We are being bullied by a mob that operates on selective justice seeing one murder as incredibly evil and other murders as irrelevant. Why? Because the powerful see benefit in diverting us from their crimes and diverting us from solving our own problems and let them get control of us.
The system is what allows this to evolve peacefully and for the average American to decide for their own benefit how this country is to be run not for the benefit of oligarchs or people with grandiose inflated scare tactics.
The system is designed so everyone has access to information to decide how to run things and to be able to say what they think. The faith of our founders was that the average person could figure out what was propaganda and to seek other sources, to listen to who they wanted and to believe what they wanted to say and it was none of your business if you disagreed except to vote for or against the idea themselves.
This is the vaccine shot against globalism:
Democrats no longer have faith if they ever had it in the average person to make this decision. They now want to control information, control your mind, criticize you if you don’t think the way they think, laugh about things they don’t think you should laugh at, say something about someone they don’t think you should be able to say.
The democrats distrust and minimize the constitution and try to find ways around it instead of trying to live it. Only a few democrats still care much about things like freedom of speech or the amendments. T
he democrats tried to use the 25th amendment on Trump to declare him comatose effectively and have him removed. They don’t care what the idea is, just how to get the power they want no matter how many lies or rules they have to break to get it.
They want to crush our independent thought. They want us to second guess and to speak the words they tell us to say like a robot; “Black lives matter.’ Say it. It doesn’t matter what it means. It only matters if you do what they say because you are not an independent person.
I consider myself a liberal
I considered myself to be liberal because I believed that we shouldn’t judge other people too rashly for how they seek to live their life or the things they say. This is a libertarian idea that is I believe central to the founders way of thinking. You live your life, I live my life. As long as you don’t harm me I will be happy to let you believe and live your life as you want. We can debate to convince each other of the merits of our individual ideas but we don’t scream or threaten. We don’t force our ideas on you. You don’t force your ideas on us.
It gets tricky deciding what is force and what is law and when you do something it harms someone but the principal is to treat others with respect and the same laws as everyone else. Liberals today and socialism are in direct contradiction to this.
Globalism wants helpless vassals not people who have their own freedom and to set the rules so they do what they want but we have to do what they say.
We should look at people’s actions not their words because frequently the two don’t match.
So, I consider myself liberal in the libertarian tradition which is similar to the thinking of the founders. Benjamin Franklin described how he saw a United States that would take a Muslim as easily as a Christian or Jewish person because the United States would allow them to live their lives the way they wanted as long as they didn’t hurt other people and their right to live their life.
Benjamin Franklin like Thomas Jefferson and the other founders felt that humans had these rights and that their right to enjoy their life the way they wanted trumped the right of the government to exploit you or tell you how to live your life.
If you are a bigoted person and want to believe things then go ahead. Nobody should kill you because you don’t think like others but if you take those beliefs and apply them in the real world and harm people then you can be made to pay.
People change their minds. So, one day a bigoted statement you didn’t even think was bigoted may become bigoted. You may decide you heard a good argument and change your mind. That is the way of America. We don’t cancel people. We forgive people. We are a compassionate and generous people. We have lost our way to respecting each other letting the media and mob turn us into hateful righteous assh*****.
Globalism and bad governance are the same things
What I have realized is that these 2 things are the same thing.
I have railed that our challenge for the next 100 years is to improve the transparency and governance of the world because the world is still too much run by the powerful and oligarchs. We have made some progress since 1900 but to make it to the world post 2100 we need to have more people under the rule of transparent governments that give their people hope.
Adam Smith distinguished capitalism from mercantilism which he hated because mercantilism was the elite class protecting themselves. Just because these people were business men did not mean they were capitalists.
I have always found it remarkable that the political philosophies that claim they are most for the middle class and poor class (socialism) are the ones who have most subjugated and deprived those same people. Yet amazingly even though they are the ones who have failed these people the most they are still what many people think is better for those people.
The middle class is the essence of what the founders considered the basis of our civilization. People who were competent and knowledgeable enough to decide what the rules for their own lives should be. Not the elites. The kind of democracy our founders created depends on the existence of a large middle class.
The globalists wants to destroy the middle class because first it is too expensive. They make their wealth in many cases by leveraging low wages to produce goods and services they enjoy. They want to move people around to lower wages. The globalists want free movement of labor not only so they can live anywhere they want but so they can make workers move wherever they can be leveraged to produce profit to preserve their wealth.
Second, they want to control everything and the middle class are less willing to be dominated and told what to do. The poor are easier to manage and propagandize. The poor have no independent ability to operate without the government so they will do the bidding of government. They are dependent on the government and hence unable to be completely unbiased about the role of government.
The founders believed in this idea that people could be independent, run their own lives the way they want and didn’t need government.
We need to rediscover America to win this battle against globalists and bring hope to all the people of the world not to have everyone move here but to make their own places of freedom and the rule of the people over the powerful and corrupt.
